Duo/Trio Challenge
The Duo/Trio Challenge allows friends an opportunity to choreograph a routine and perform it in front of a live audience.
All candidates receive participation medals. The top three places in each division receive individual trophies. Winners of the DX Dance Team Challenge will receive $50 scholarships and trophies. Duo/Trio Challenge recipients will be awarded for all age categories.
NEW - Duo/Trio Challenge competition will take place on Thursday evening. Duo/Trio Champions will perform their award winning routines during Saturday evening’s Gala.
TIME: One-minute thirty seconds (1:30 min) in length. Timing begins with the first beat of the music and ends with the last beat of the music.
This is a competition for duos & trios (2-3 people max).
COSTUMING: Costumes must be age appropriate and suitable for family viewing. Team costumes are allowed. Inappropriate costuming is illegal and will be assessed violation points.
RULES: DX general rules and guidelines apply to the Duo/Trio Challenge (DTC).
LIMITATIONS: Dancers may compete on as many DTC performances as they want. There are no limitations.
Category determined by the oldest dancer’s age.

Mini...6 yr. & younger
Petite...7 to 8 yr.
Junior...9 to 11 yr.
Teen...12 to 14 yr.
Senior ...15 to 19 yr.
Adult ... high school graduates/current college students
