COACHES PRAISE THE AMERICUP CHAMPIONSHIP AS THE GOLD STANDARD OF DANCE COMPETITIONS.

The AmeriCup brings in national level talent from across the United States, Canada, and Mexico, all competing for titles, as well as, providing opportunities for individuals and small groups.

The event kicks-off with master classes, All American and Performer of the Year interviews and talent presentations.

The Semi-Formal Awards Gala is always a favorite, as attendees dress up for a night of performances, academic recognition, and announcement of individual accomplishments.  Individuals may opt to compete in the DX All-American Talent & Scholastic and/or the DX Performer of the Year events. Recognition for DX Spirit & Sportsmanship, DX Coach Of The Year, Distinguished Leaders, and DX Hall of Fame Inductees are presented at the Awards Program. Graduating seniors will also be recognized. NEW this year - We’ll be recognizing the outstanding staff who help behind the scenes to make it all happen.

Sunday concludes with the top 10 senior soloists invited back for a dance-off!

DX awards fabulous prizes that include rings, scholarships, medals, and banners. Don’t forget to stick around for the USASF Dance Worlds bid announcements.

Teams decide which events fit into their schedule. All athletes required to stay at one of the DX properties. Group rates at official hotels offer affordable housing for attendees and guests.  Reservations booked online directly through DX.

DX offers three days of fun to make each dancer’s nationals a trip to remember. While in Minnesota, most teams take a trip to the world-famous Mall of America and Nickelodeon Universe. Local restaurants within walking distance from the Minneapolis Convention Center provide fantastic meals at affordable costs.
