HERE’S THE SCOOP: Xtreme Team (XT) participation is by invite only. Featured dancers perform in the opening number during DX Nationals.
COMMITMENT: Rehearsals take place Monday through Thursday and are mandatory. We’ve scheduled them during our solo/duo/trio competition. The Xtreme Team performance kicks off the finals on Thursday. The specific schedule will be sent one week prior to studio directors.
WHO QUALIFIES: All solo, duo, and trio finalists from each skill level (novice, intermediate and advanced) at Regional competitions are invited. Dancers will also be chosen from the fall 3D Conventions. However, particpation is ultimately up to each studio director.
COSTUME: DX provides the official Xtreme Team shirt for the performance. All XT dancers are required to provide black leggings for the performance.
CHOREOGRAPHY: Charleigh France, DX Head Judge, will choreograph the opening number. The XT dance will include a variety of styles. Choreography and placement will be determined on site by DX staff.
SIGN UP: All qualifiers must perform a solo, duet or trio routine during Nationals. Studio directors must register the routine. They must also pick a t-shirt size on the Add-on drop down section. A $25 fee will be charged for all XT dancers.
The specific schedule will be sent one week prior to nationals to all registered studios. Refer to the Schedule on the Nationals main page for rehearsal dates.
